Sleep Apnea Diagnosis may have saved woman’s life

Nancy Russo , when tested, stopped breathing 67 times within an hour of going to sleep. She ran a high risk of heart attack or stroke even the possibility of dying when asleep !

But when her roommate told her she makes an unusual heavy noise when she sleeps and a co-worker told her about the dangers of sleep apnea, Nancy went to MetroHealth’s sleep lab to get tested. Within an hour of falling asleep, she stopped breathing 67

Nancy uses the CPAP machine and feels rested and with energy. She’s also exercising, eating right and taking melatonin (to help her sleep).
