Young Girls May Lose Sleep Over Pressure to Be Thin

Peer pressure to be thin is leading young girls to lose their sleep.  Girls of 12 years of age were asked about the pressure they felt to lose weight and stay skinny. Girlfriends and the media made a great impact in this way of thinking leading the girls to sleeping less. This represents a risk in physical and mental health.

This preliminary study will find it’s weight when published in a peer-reviewed journal.
