Sleep Interruption and Overactive Bladder

Nocturia is the need to urinate several times at night but it ¬†interrupts peoples’ sleep cycles. As a result of several trips to the bathroom people may become extremely tired.

In order to avoid accidents of an overactive bladder certain steps should be taken : avoid drinking fluids after 6 p.m. also avoid coffeee, alcohol, certain juices, spicy foods, chocolate and artificial sweeteners.  You might also go to the bathroom twice to void before bedtime.
