Sleep Apnea , Women, Obesity and Hypertension

A study of 400 women  who underwent sleep study reveals that sleep apnea exists at a rate of 50% in women aged between 20-70 years of age.  Furthermore it was found that there’s a link between age, hypertension and obesity.  The study was conducted at the universities of Uppsala and Umea.

31% of obese women suffferred from severe sleep apnea!
